The ZyXEL NBG6515 was supported by OpenWrt from external image on the ramips/mt7620 target, but its last supported release has reached end of life. Its WiFi 5 (AC) wireless on the mt76 driver rates fair for open-source driver support (0.50/1.0), installation is rated hard, and it is no longer sold new.

Installing OpenWrt on the NBG6515
Installation on this device is rated hard. Expect serial console access, soldering or another advanced recovery path. Read the device page carefully before you start. Documented methods: see devicepage.
Need to connect 3.3V Serial on J1. Pins: closest to USB = VCC (do not connect), GND, TX, RX = towards WPS button; Hold number button down on serial terminal during boot, e.g., 2 to flash image (check options for your bootloader in terminal output) Preserve original firmware before flashing! Needed for WLAN.
