The Cudy WR3000S runs OpenWrt 25.12.5 on the mediatek/filogic target, and has been supported since 24.10.0. Its WiFi 6 (AX) wireless on the mt76 driver rates excellent for open-source driver support (0.95/1.0), installation is rated easy, and it is still sold new.

Installing OpenWrt on the WR3000S

Installation on this device is rated easy. You can flash it from the stock web interface without opening the case or using a serial cable. Documented methods: GUI OEM, Sysupgrade, Serial.

Need a signed OpenWrt intermediary image from Cudy before installing official OpenWrt image.
