The Cudy AP3000 runs OpenWrt 25.12.5 on the mediatek/filogic target, and has been supported since 24.10.0. Its WiFi 6 (AX) wireless on the mt76 driver rates excellent for open-source driver support (0.95/1.0), installation is rated easy, and it is still sold new.

Installing OpenWrt on the AP3000

Installation on this device is rated easy. You can flash it from the stock web interface without opening the case or using a serial cable. Documented methods: TFTP generic, GUI OEM, see devicepage.

Need a signed OpenWrt from cudy before installing official OpenWrt image. TFTP upload is also possible after OEM firmware version 2.47+

Flashing third-party firmware can brick a router and usually voids the warranty. Always check that the firmware image matches your exact hardware version.
